WOW! Four months!? I’ve been gone for four months?
How is that even possible? Oh yea, I had a BABY!
So, if you take a look at my last post on here it was my maternity photo shoot, back in Nov/Dec. After that post I kind of took a little break to get ready for my baby girl to arrive. Her due date was December 24th, but she was getting a bit too big, especially in the belly area (her belly was measuring bigger than her head). So, I had my membrane stripped a couple of times and was already sitting at 3 cm, so they figured the stripping would send my body into labor…but it didn’t.
I spent a week in Jackson Hole Wyoming, waiting for the contractions to start or my water to break. We did this because I live 2 hours away from the hospital and the winters here in Wyoming are a bit unpredictable, especially in December. So we figured it was best to play it safe. But the week passed and I never had consistent enough contractions and my water never broke, So on Monday morning, December 17th, I was induced. I choose the 17th because my sons birthday is also on the 17th and I thought that was pretty neat.
So, we checked in at 7 in the morning and at 5:54 PM our beautiful baby girl entered this world! Our little, Salem Luna Marie! (Well, she wasn’t so little she was 8lbs 14oz! Just imagine if i would have made it another week to my due date…She be a 10 lbs!)
After being home for a few days, I had a little bit of a scare. I got up in the middle of the night to feed her, and started to have a bit of cramping, which I thought were normal, or I just needed to use the bathroom. Anyways, they never went away, and got progressively worse. I couldn’t move and I couldn’t stop crying from the pain. We ended up calling an ambulance and I took my very 1st ambulance ride. By the time we reached the clinic, the pain had started to dissipate and then stopped completely. I was terrified I was about to start hemorrhaging. I’d never felt such pain in my whole life, not even actually giving birth! But, they couldn’t find anything wrong, they just figured it was uterus shrinking back to size, and they sent me home.
Even though it was nothing, it was still pretty scary!
With the new addition to the family, it’s definitely been an adjustment. I thought I would be able to get back into the groove of things after a month or so…boy was I wrong! Things did get a little bit easier, and I thought I had things figured out, but life is unpredictable with 2 little ones. Newborns change so much in such a short amount of time, that it’s hard to get a schedule down. The only thing that seems to be consistent is her feeding schedule. Naps, sleeping, and big brothers activities aren’t so easy to pin point!
But its been almost 4 months and I’m starting to think that I just might be able to get things done! I’m hoping to at least. I truly admire all you guys that have your shit together! Please tell me your secrets! Please?
Any who, with all this being said, I want to keep this post short! I’m gonna try and get a schedule down for this blog (yes, I have said this a millions times…but this time I mean business!), as well as keep making videos for YouTube…Oh yea! Did I mention I started a YouTube channel! (Go check it out!) I’ll also make a post about it!). I’m gonna try and get through my edits, which have been dragging on and I’m not even close to being done, or even halfway done! I’m also currently working on beta reading, and am also going through my CP’s manuscript. I have a bit on my plate and I’m crossing my fingers that I can get it all accomplished without losing my mind.
